«Umm Qusai» progresses the most courageous women in the world
24/3/2018 12:00 am [rtl]The lives of 58 people were saved from the Spyker massacre About the Blog {Debnut Bloggers} / Translated by: Anis Saffar Winners of the 2018 Women of the Brave Award, a title awarded by the US State Department on an international scale, On March 23, at 2 pm EDT, these 10 women attended a ceremony attended by Deputy Foreign Minister John Sullivan and the first lady, Melania Trump, delivered a speech on the occasion. The award was established in March 2007, an annual event organized by the US State Department to honor women anywhere in the world who show extraordinary courage, strength and leadership by doing a positive change in their communities. Often it was through a great risk and willingness to sacrifice himself. The following are the 10 women honored for this year: Alia Khalaf Saleh (Iraq) Alia Khalaf Salih, known as Um Qusai, 62 years old, was born in the province of Salah al-Din not far from the city of Tikrit. Umm Qusay became a national hero in Iraq, despite her early stages of life, where she was unable to attend school and got married at the age of 13. Umm Qusay initiated humanitarian action voluntarily and showed remarkable courage on the day that a group of young Iraqis were rescued after they were ambushed by the "Daqsh" organization on 12 June 2014, which became known as the massacre of the Spyker base. Umm Qusay and her family saw a group of these young men jump into the river to survive for themselves. Although this family was suffering from a loss of some of its children recently by a "da'ash" who had the presence of thought and promptness to act quickly. Over five months, Umm Qusai saved 58 young men, hiding them in the form of small groups and then providing them with identity cards that she obtained from the nearby university to hide their truth and then arranged for them ways to flee and survive. This woman took care of teaching Shiites from those young men how to pray like Sunnis to avoid attracting the attention of the "Da'ash" elements. Umm Qusay was Sunni, but it was a strong belief that every human being deserves to be cared for, be it Christian, Kurdish, Turkoman, Assyrian, Sunni or Shia. Acts like this self-indulgent act in the wake of the wave of terror spread by the organization of "advocating" a valuable business in Iraq, and among those who recognized this value the highest Shiite reference to the removal of this Sunni woman the title of "the time of the times." This description is used for women who put the interests and safety of others before their own interests. In July 2015, the prime minister appointed her to the Order of the Iraqi State. Today, four years after that incident, Umm Qusay is still receiving visitors from tribal sheikhs, government officials and ordinary citizens who want to meet this Iraqi woman, who has become a beacon of hope for their country after being freed from the grip of a "doer." She continues to cook food for the soldiers today And visit their wounds in hospitals. In that society where women are often marginalized or ignored, Umm Qusay stands out as a vivid embodiment of the common humanitarian message. "God created us all, so we are all equal," says Umm Qusay. Laloma Seyed (Mauritania) Laloma was born under the slavery system in 1972 in the town of Bautlemite, in the far south-eastern part of Mauritania. At the age of seventeen, Bizerte went to work as a schoolteacher calling for the liberation of the Harthin (free and black - skinned translator). She became one of only four deputies to the Mauritanian National Assembly (parliament) in 2006 and again in 2013, before which she headed a women's trade union. Lamaluma was also responsible for women in the Free Movement (a movement aimed at liberating the Haratins in Mauritania) and a founding member of the anti-slavery organization SOS Escliffe in Mauritania, currently headed by her husband Boubacar Messaoud. Gudelyev Mukasarasi (Rwanda) After the genocide in Rwanda in 1994, Gudeliv Mukasarasi vowed to fight the culture of peace and nonviolence in Rwanda, as well as to defend the rights of women and girls affected by the effects of sexual violence in conflict zones around the world. By being the founder and co-ordinator of Solidarity for the Development of Widows and Orphans to Promote Self-Sufficiency and Livelihoods (Sivota), Mukasarasi worked hand in hand with the various factions in Rwanda to rebuild the human, social and economic ties that had broken out during the genocide. In 1996, Mukasarasi received a call from the UN team, which is moving to bring legal action against Jean-Paul Akayesu, former governor of Taba, for his role in the genocide. Srikhan Sharwinsiri (Thailand) After Sri Lanka's May 2014 coup, Srikun Sharwinsiri (also known as John) co-founded the Thai Lawyers for Human Rights (TALHAR) association to provide legal services free of charge on human rights issues, Human rights under the military government. Since the coup d'état, the Thalhar association has stood as a representative of hundreds of clients and in most cases the association has been the only recourse for those facing politically motivated charges. Due to the political sensitivity of the work of the association, the lawyers and employees of Thalhar and Charwenesiri in particular were regularly harassed, threatened and even charged with criminal charges. As a result of her advisory contributions, Sharwinsiri currently faces three sets of charges for her work as a lawyer, including the charge of incitement (the first charge of this kind addressed to a lawyer under the military government). Despite this, Sharwinsiri continues to do her work unabashedly. Dr. Verdi Rochety (Kosovo) Dr. Verdi Rochety is the founder and director of the Kosovo Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Torture. For nearly two decades, Rochetti worked in research and legal advocacy until she managed to secure access to health care and justice for civilians who were victims of the Kosovo war (1998-1999). In 2017, its legal defenses resulted in the Government taking a landmark decision by allocating pensions to victims of sexual violence from the Kosovo War. Dr. Rochetti has established a precedent in the government's involvement in efforts to deal with the consequences of wartime. Rochete, a physician, began her work in treating the civilian victims of the conflict in 1999 and was one of the first doctors to feel the need to address the psychological trauma of refugees forced to flee the violence, especially women and minorities. Sister Maria Elena Perini (Italy) Sister Maria Elena Perini, who was nominated by the US Embassy in the Holy See, was born on 9 December 1944 in the city of Sondrio, Italy. At the age of 15, she was forced to leave school and work in a textile factory to help her father and her family of six. There, the eye saw how difficult the working conditions experienced by the workers, and generated a strong sense of solidarity with the working class. At the age of 19, motivated by a deep sense of commitment to service, she entered the Sisterhood of the Sisterhood of Saint-Jean-Antéd Thaouart. From 1963 to 1969, she received training in religion, gospel and theology, then became a teacher for children, but a cryptic call to Africa. In 1972 I traveled to Chad and there I discovered within her the love of people, their traditions, culture, language and religion, as well as war, hatred, injustice and "untold horrors." Perini continued her work in rural schools in the jungle jungle until 2007 when her diocese sent her to the Central African Republic. Sister Maria Elena has been working in the Catholic mission in Bucaranga since then, and the war that swept through the region in 2013 and 2014 recently occurred. Roya Sadat (Afghanistan) Roya Sadat is a creative blogger who refused to be silent in the face of threats from elements in Afghan society. Television and cinema took two advocacy platforms calling for positive change by publishing stories she had never heard of about Afghan women and girls. Throughout her career, Sadat faced serious risks and overcame enormous cultural, bureaucratic and financial obstacles. Sadat was born in Herat in 1981 and had always dreamed of being a filmmaker, but her dreams were about to be crushed when the Taliban rose to power. Music, movies, television and theater became taboos. Despite this, Sadat took secret lessons in the theater in hospitals, refusing to give up her appetite. At the age of 20, she directed her first feature film, Three Points, which was written in secret during the Taliban regime. The story is about a young widow who is under pressure to marry one of her husband's brothers. Sadat has taken major risks when filmed in a rural village. She has been forcibly evicted by angry villagers because she has used her headdresses. Despite all these challenges and others, Sadat has managed to complete the internationally acclaimed film. In 2003, Sadat founded a film house called Roya to expose the world to incredible stories from Afghanistan and through more than 30 films. Iman Umarova (Kazakhstan) Iman Amrova was born in a small town in the province of Chambell in southern Kazakhstan. She is currently specializing in serious crimes related to sexual assaults on women and children, as well as working with convicted prisoners for political motives or for human rights reasons. Amrova has two children and her hobbies include writing in newspapers and her column under the title "Zona Kaz" published in the political newspaper "DAT". This column covers issues relating to prisoners, such as torture and violence in prisons, as well as human rights. Umarova is also writing a book that carefully addresses the phenomenon of sexual harassment called "vial of harassment". Umarova is a member of the Human Rights Council of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. She is also a founding member of the Human Rights Lawyers Association. It is Amrova's desire to protect people and address social grievances that led her to this specialization in law enforcement where she worked as an investigator, but at the same time she continued her studies to obtain a degree in law from the International Academy of Law and the Market. Amrova began her career as an adjudicator in the legal corps after working in the law enforcement agencies, where she works as an investigator. Based on the available data, Dr. Villanueva launched multi-disciplinary initiatives to address gender-based violence and was a key player in the development of "women's murder legislation" which imposes additional criminal penalties for gender-based killings, On criminal evidence in major cases to convict criminals under circumstances where adequate eyewitness accounts were not available.
