A spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, Tahseen al-Khafaji, denied the news of the infiltration of Israeli aircraft into the Iraqi airspace and the implementation of reconnaissance flights over Iran as "inaccurate and incorrect news."
Al-Khafaji said that "there is no truth to the infiltration of Israeli aircraft to Iraqi airspace, and Iraq has an air defense system capable of dealing well with any violation of the Iraqi airspace. Iran also has an advanced air defense system and radars capable of detecting and dealing with any violation of its airspace."
