(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The Electoral Commission announced the election of the distribution of more than 7 million card biometric among the voters in preparation for their participation in the elections of the House of Representatives scheduled for May 12 next.
"It is hoped that the Commission will approve the names of candidates for the elections of the House of Representatives within a day or two after receiving the names of candidates from the accountability and justice, which has completed its audit," said a member of the Board of Commissioners,
Al-Moussawi added that "the distribution of the biometric card to the voters is proceeding with high flow and according to what is planned, where the number of voters receiving their cards 7 million and 270 thousand voters, by more than 52 percent."
The Commission for Accountability and Justice, announced yesterday that the number of candidates sent by the Electoral Commission amounted to (7367) names, while the body included the procedures of 374 of them. "
She added that" the number of those summoned was 682 candidates, were interviewed 582 of them, while the To inform the Electoral Commission of the inclusion of those who did not attend the meeting of the Commission's procedures for not to review them. "
She pointed out that "the number of discriminatory appeals received by our body amounted to 95 yesterday, including 23 appeals accepted while the rest of the appeals responded to the inclusion of the owners of the law of accountability and justice," pointing out, "Those who did not include the procedures of accountability and justice has reached their number until Monday (6898).
