Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said Thursday that Iraq, just as it had succeeded in eradicating terrorism, would succeed in reconstruction.
"Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi met with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and members of the Japanese government in the Japanese capital Tokyo," a statement from the Abadi office said.
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said in a statement that "great victories have been achieved on terrorist gangs," adding that "the importance of continuing to support Iraq and its efforts to eliminate the thought of a need for time."
"As you did in your fight against terrorism, you will succeed in reconstruction and this will be a great achievement for your achievements," Abe said. "Japan is working seriously to strengthen its relations with Iraq."
For his part, Abadi stressed that "we are working to strengthen our relations in all sectors," noting that "Iraq has ended a dangerous stage threatened its existence and threatened the countries of the region and the world and we were able to break this terrorism and achieved unity among the components of the Iraqi people."
He stressed that "the importance of encouraging Japanese companies to work in Iraq with the stability of the security situation in it and to be long-term cooperation for many projects and create employment opportunities for citizens."
