    For the second day in a row, violent explosions were heard at the Russian air base of Hameimim, amid conflicting reports of the explosions and a security alert for the Russian military police in conjunction with the entry and exit of ambulances.
     
    This comes as the Russian Ministry of Defense, on Wednesday, an increase in the number of anti-aircraft "Pantasser S" at the base of Hameimim countryside Lattakia to six systems, and increased the number of "Pantaser S" in the port of Tartous to four.
     
    Media sources confirmed the fall of unidentified missile shells near the Russian air base of Humimim, while other sources suggested that the base was attacked by remote-controlled aircraft, without any official confirmation.
     
    The sources added that the intensive deployment and alert to the Russian military police and ambulances followed the process of targeting the air base yesterday and today.
     
    The base of Humimim was attacked by unmanned aircraft at the end of last year led to the destruction and injury of more than ten aircraft and the recent killing of a number of Russian soldiers, according to Russian and Western press reports, which was confirmed by the Russian Defense Ministry later, So far, however, Russia has accused the opposition factions and the Sham Liberation Organization "Front Nasra", which in turn categorically denied its relationship to the attack.
