    [ltr]Turkish Foreign Minister Mouloud Zhaoshoglu said on Friday that Turkey would move with the United States in the Syrian region of Manbeg after meeting with new US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Brussels.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Zhaošoglu made the remark to Turkish television stations after meeting with Pompeo, who went directly to NATO headquarters on Friday, just 12 hours after taking the oath.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Zhaošoglu said France had no presence in Manbij, noting that Turkey might make "good offers" from allies to supply it with Patriot missiles or other air defense systems.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Turkey launched a military operation against Kurdish protection units in the northern region of Afrin on January 20.[/ltr]
