Turkey cuts consumption tax to compensate for fuel price increase
The Turkish official newspaper announced on Thursday that the level of special consumption tax should be reduced to compensate for the impact of any increases in the price of fuel due to increases in the price of crude and exchange rate.
"The special consumption tax will not exceed the level set on May 17 if fuel prices fall under a step taken after the pound fell to record low against the dollar and with the rise in crude prices," the newspaper said.
