Prime Minister Haider al-Abbadi said that Baghdad respects the interests of other countries in the country, as long as they are compatible with Iraq's sovereignty and interests.
"The independence of the Iraqi decision is a national commitment for us, and it will not be a slogan, but a consistent approach," Abadi said in a speech during a regular meeting of his coalition victory, according to a statement issued by the coalition after the meeting.
