    Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said that all the decisions issued by the Electoral Commission are void until the completion of the investigation of the crimes of forgery, while the Commission responded to Abadi's statement. 
    A statement issued by the Information Office of Abadi said that the Prime Minister stressed during his weekly press conference that "the Council decided that the provisions of the law enacted by the House of Representatives, which provides for the suspension of the work of the members of the Independent High Electoral Commission until the completion of the investigation of fraud crimes referred to by the Council resolution And all the decisions issued by them are null and void. " 
    For his part, the Council said in a statement that "the recent decision of Prime Minister Haider Abadi, represents a violation of the principle of separation of powers and the work of independent bodies, considering that the Electoral Commission is under the control of the House of Representatives, a problem by him and is responsible in the performance of its work and according to the Constitution before the House of Representatives.
    He added that the Council of Ministers violated his recent decision on the basis of the third amendment to the Law on the election of the Council of Representatives No. 45 of 2013 Amended, while the provisions of the amendment came clear where the work of the commissioners and directors of provincial offices and until the completion of the investigation of fraud crimes.
