The Parliamentary Services Committee confirmed on Sunday that the funds of telecommunications companies were not included in the federal budget for 2019 so far, while indicated that the inclusion of those funds is necessary because they represent a large size that can be used for public expenditures.
Committee member Zahra al-Bijari said in a statement to Al-Mawloma that "the funds of telecommunications companies have not yet been included in the federal budget for 2019 despite the demand of a large number of deputies to include those funds," noting that "the parliamentary financial committee is responsible for including those funds In the budget and put them within the House of Representatives for the purpose of reading and voting that these funds represent a large size and can be used for public expenditures.
She added that "included the funds of communications companies within the federal budget is necessary and otherwise is a violation of legal," indicating that "the funds taken from these companies represent taxes and financial obligation imposed on the communications companies."
