        Al-Qassabi said in a statement that Saudi Arabia provided a grant to Iraq in the amount of one billion dollars to contribute to its development to be the Kingdom's key partner in the renaissance of Iraq. 

       Al-Qasbi announced the opening of the Saudi consulate in Baghdad on Thursday and that three more consulates will soon be opened in a number of Iraqi provinces. 

       He added that the Arar port border between the Kingdom and Iraq will be completed after six months from now, as work goes ahead to build the sports city in Baghdad after the allocation of land to build.

        He pointed out that there are a number of economic agreements ready to be signed between the two countries. 

       Al-Qasabi arrived in Baghdad yesterday at the head of a large economic delegation.

    BAGHDAD (Reuters) 
    - Saudi Arabia's minister of trade and investment, Majid al-Kasabi, announced Wednesday that the Iraqi side will be allocated to a piece of land to build the city of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Sports City in Baghdad. 
    "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia confirms its keenness to participate in Iraq's development projects, and has allocated one billion dollars to build these projects," Al-Qasabi said during a joint news conference with Iraqi Oil Minister Thamer Ghadhban held in Baghdad and attended by Mawazine News. 
    "The participation of Saudi Arabia in the development projects in Iraq will be added to the construction of the city of King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Sports, which will be a mathematical landmark for Iraqi youth," adding that "the Iraqi side told him to allocate land to establish the sports city."
