On Tuesday, Mawazine News publishes the text of amending the Cabinet's decision regarding the Sports City gifted by the Saudi King (Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud).
The Cabinet Secretariat stated, in a statement received by Mawazine News, that "the Cabinet decided, in its thirty-ninth regular session, held on 10/14/2021, to approve the amendment of Cabinet Decision (130 of 2020) regarding the Sports City donated by The Saudi King (Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud) is the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to become as follows:
1. Choosing the Bismayah site for the establishment of the Sports City gifted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Saudi King (Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud).
2. The Ministry of Finance assigned an area of (631) dunums within the plot numbered (1/974 cherry area) to the Ministry of Youth and Sports; To establish the Sports City, which is owned by the Ministry of Finance and whose total area is (1642 dunums, 11 acres and 20 square meters) according to what was mentioned in the aforementioned letter of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the letter of the Real Estate Registration Directorate in Al-Madain No. (5044) dated 11/24/2020 .
3. Maintaining the allocation of the plot numbered (1/14, district 8 cherry) for the benefit of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and instructing the Ministry of Finance / State Real Estate Department to transfer its allocation from the purposes of Al-Rasheed University to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research due to the actual need for this land; To establish its university and educational projects on it and to expand the educational institution.
4. The Ministry of Youth and Sports shall supervise the Sports City project in coordination between them and the Saudi side through the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council; The author is according to the Diwani order (14 of 2020). Ended 29/A 43
