The value of foreign currency sales in the auction on Sunday fell to $ 210.16 million from Thursday's $ 219.17 million auction, down $ 9.01 million, according to data from the Central Bank of Iraq.
The exchange rate was 1190 dinars per dollar, according to data from the Central Bank, in the auction held with the participation of 33 banks, as well as a financial transfer company.
The central bank said the sales executed were results on Monday, adding that total sales totaled 237.74 million dollars.
The volume of funds sold to strengthen banks' assets abroad amounted to $ 208.81 million, while total selling cash amounted to $ 1.35 million.
During Thursday's auction, the Central Bank of Iraq showed the value of foreign currency sales to $ 219.17 million, compared with Wednesday's auction sales of $ 189.21 million.
