BAGHDAD (Reuters) -
Foreign currency sales at the Iraqi central bank totaled $ 120.88 million on Tuesday, compared with $ 134.17 million in Monday's auction, down 13.29 million dollars.
The central bank said in a statement received by the Mawazine News that "sales of foreign currency in the Central Bank of Iraq, amounted to an auction on Tuesday, $ 120.88 million, compared to sales of $ 134.17 million auction yesterday, down 13.29 million dollars," noting that " The exchange rate amounted to 1190 dinars per dollar, in the auction held with the participation of 31 banks, in addition to one financial transfer company.
The statement said that "the sales executed today are the results of the auction on Wednesday," noting that "the total sales totaled 145.87 million dollars."
He pointed out that "the volume of the amounts sold to strengthen the bank balances abroad worth $ 120.43 million, while the total cash sold at $ 450 thousand," pointing out that "the sale of amounts transferred to banks accounts abroad at the price of 1190 dinars per dollar, Will be at the same price. "
