Iraq suffers a housing deficit of 2.5 million units and has 3.2 million random

The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities on Sunday announced the adoption of strategic plans to solve the housing crisis according to the National Housing Policy for the years 2018-2022, indicating a deficit in this sector of two million and 500 thousand units, while revealing the existence of 3.2 million random.
"The ministry has an extensive study on the housing sector and the challenges it faces as well as solutions and treatments," said the ministry's undersecretary, Astbork Al-Thouk.
He added that "the ministry has worked on the development of the National Housing Policy for the years 2016 and 2016 for the years 2018-2022, as well as the preparation of the strategy of reconstruction of destroyed housing in the provinces affected by terrorism, as well as the development of plans to reduce and eliminate random housing and the establishment of new cities and Roadmap for the national program to increase, maintain and control the housing stock in the country. "
