    The word Baghdad
Moqtada al-Sadr's al-Sadr alliance denied on Wednesday the existence of a movement to topple the government of Adel Abdul-Mahdi in cooperation with Haider al-Abadi.
"The reports, which talked about the movement of Sadr and Abadi to topple the government of Adel Abdul Mahdi, are incorrect, and there is no such movement at all," MP Raad al-Maksousi said in comments read onthe news website .
"Al-Sadr said that if Sadr wanted to change Abdul-Mahdi, he would announce it openly and clearly. He does not move and work behind the scenes."
He added that "the Sadrists, and the alliance of others, still support Abdul Mahdi and his government, and after one year of its life, will be evaluating the performance of the government and the extent of implementation of its government program."
