Most of them are Iraqis. Confidential data reveal 100,000 ISIS children

[rtl]More than 100,000 minors are registered as affiliated with ISIS operatives, according to a report by ISIS.[/rtl]
[rtl]The report, entitled "Misery of Minors," is signed by researchers from the Counterterrorism Center at the US West Point Military Academy, the only agency authorized to publish declassified data after review by US intelligence agencies.[/rtl]
[rtl]The documents on the study deal with "101,850 minors associated with at least one ISIS-funded adult", who are almost equally distributed among girls (50.2%) and boys (49.78%).[/rtl]
[rtl]Of this total, 16,121 minors (16% of the total) were born after June 2014, when the state of the Caliphate was declared, and thus posed a sexual problem, as no one recognized their birth documents.[/rtl]
[rtl]Researchers from the Counter-Terrorism Center determined that 76273 minors were originally nationalized. The vast majority (70,273) were Iraqis, and 57 countries were present in total.[/rtl]
[rtl]More than 1,200 minors come from Jordan, 654 from Syria, 380 from Turkey and 375 from Saudi Arabia. Among European countries, the most are the French (52), followed by the Germans (17).[/rtl]
[rtl]The numbers remain partial, the researchers said, and the number of children of extremists born or lived under ISIS in Iraq and Syria is higher than those counted.[/rtl]
[rtl]"It is not constructive to consider all minors who lived in the grip of ISIS as time bombs or asleep elements," the researchers said.[/rtl]
[rtl]"Although some of them may commit terrorist acts or participate in the conflict, the challenges they are likely to face will be focused in the short, medium and long term on concerns about finding no refuge and addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, unemployment, domestic violence and criminality."[/rtl]
