Jubouri: The career void due to the retirement law cannot be compensated in 2020

Member of the Finance Committee in the House of Representatives, MP Ahmad Mazhar al-Jubouri, on Thursday ruled out compensation for job grades resulting from the implementation of [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/13901/%D9%82%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%88%D9%86 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AA%D9%82%D8%A7%D8%B9%D8%AF][size=13]the[/url] revised [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/13901/%D9%82%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%88%D9%86 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AA%D9%82%D8%A7%D8%B9%D8%AF]retirement law[/url] during this year.
Al-Jubouri said, “ [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/13901/%D9%82%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%88%D9%86 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AA%D9%82%D8%A7%D8%B9%D8%AF]The[/url] amended [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/13901/%D9%82%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%88%D9%86 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AA%D9%82%D8%A7%D8%B9%D8%AF]retirement law[/url] passed last year 2019 paid more than 200,000 employees in the various institutions of the Iraqi state for retirement according to what was stated in its clauses.”
He added, "Restoring the vacuum left by retirees in their institutions needs a period that cannot be covered during 2020," noting that "this vacuum will support the country in light of talk of a financial deficit in the 2020 budget."
The House of Representatives voted, at the end of last year, on the first amendment bill to the Unified Retirement Law No. 9 of 2014.
