Cars owners seek to find ways to save fuel consumption, and there are many myths about taking measures that contribute to reducing fuel consumption. We review the following five most important allegations and their truth.
Myth 1: Changing the air filter makes the engine easier to operate and reduces fuel consumption.
Truth: Modern car engines are equipped with sensors that clean and adjust air flow, keeping the air purifier clean.
The second myth: the necessity of using premium fuel instead of the normal.
Fact: It is preferable to use premium fuel, but cheaper regular fuel does not affect the work of many cars.
Myth Three: Tires that drastically reduce tire friction make the engine easier to operate and save fuel.
Truth: Tire inflating does not significantly save fuel, but it reduces brake efficiency and greatly increases the risk of vehicle slip.
Myth 4: Not using a car air conditioner saves fuel greatly.
Truth: Using the air conditioner instead of opening windows when driving on highways saves more fuel.
Myth 5: Fuel saving devices work very efficiently and save you a lot of money.
Truth: Fuel saving devices can be a financial burden and have little effect on saving consumption.
