{Local: Al Furat News} The Iraqi Minister of Defense, Jumah Inad, received a phone call from his Canadian counterpart, Harjit Sagan.
A statement of the Ministry of Defense, of which the Euphrates News Agency received a copy, stated that "Canadian Defense Minister Harjit Sajan called the Iraqi Minister of Defense Jumah Inad, and during the call discussed a number of issues of common interest between the two countries." "The Canadian minister offered condolences to the Iraqi Minister of Defense for the tragic accident witnessed at Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital in the capital, Baghdad," the statement indicated, stressing that his country stands by Iraq and the continued support of Iraqi forces through NATO to combat terrorism.
