The Parliamentary Integrity Committee revealed, on Wednesday, the Integrity Commission’s efforts to expand its powers, stressing that the law includes fugitives in neighboring countries.
Committee member Taha Al-Dafi said, in a televised interview, that “the Integrity Commission’s law was amended a year ago by making additions to it, including wealth at the expense of public money, and where did you get this? Years".
He explained, "The Integrity Commission seeks to expand its authority by amending Law No. 30 of 2005," noting that "the powers include neighboring countries to which the corrupt have fled with money, and the United Nations will be approached to cooperate with it in combating corruption and a settlement with the corrupt and theft of public money."
Al-Dafi added, "The Integrity Commission is an executive body, whose mission is to detect, monitor, conduct a preliminary investigation and monitor corruption, and it is linked to the higher judiciary.
