On Friday, Minister of Agriculture Muhammad al-Khafaji met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of his participation in the third afforestation activity.
A statement by the Ministry of Agriculture, a copy of which was received by NRT Arabic (November 12, 2021), stated that "Al-Khafaji met Erdogan on the sidelines of his participation in the third afforestation activity (Future Breathing), at the official invitation of his Turkish counterpart."
The statement added that "Al-Khafaji conveyed the greetings of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi," noting that "Erdogan praised the Iraqi-Turkish relations and thanked Al-Khafaji for accepting the invitation to attend this important event."
