    {Local: Al Furat News} Today, Monday, the Ministry of Planning called on the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works to take measures to ensure the continuation of work in the second phase of the Samarra sewage project, in Salah al-Din Governorate, which has a 40% completion rate. 
    In a statement, Al-Furat News received a copy of, the ministry stressed the importance of taking decisive measures to ensure the implementation of the work plan in accordance with the specified timelines, while adhering to the quality of work and the required technical specifications, and
    added, "The project includes a sewage network for heavy water and rainwater, lifting stations and a treatment plant in the city of Samarra." In Salah al-Din Governorate, indicating that the work includes serving a large number of residential neighborhoods, covering approximately 75% of the total area of ​​the current city. 

    The ministry indicated that approximately 25% of the current city area was covered in the first phase of the Samarra sewerage implementation, explaining that the project consists of four basic components, including the treatment plant with a capacity of (150,000) cubic meters per day, in addition to the lifting stations, as the project includes Implementation of 13 heavy water and rain water lifting stations distributed over eight sites and heavy water networks as well as rain water networks.

    She stressed the restoration of basic services to neighborhoods whose networks have been completed, and the treatment of excavations, especially with the onset of the rainy season.
