Iraq expects OPEC to maintain the 400,000 barrels per day policy
Shafaq News/ Iraqi Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar expected on Sunday that the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) will maintain its current policy of gradually increasing production by 400,000 barrels per day each month during the organization's next meeting.
And the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) has previously said that Iraq does not see the need for any decision related to increasing its production capacities above the plan for the OPEC countries.
Sumo added that in light of the increased demand for energy, Iraq sees the "OPEC Plus" agreement to increase production by 400,000 barrels per day per month sufficient to absorb demand and achieve market stability. "On the other hand, Iraq is actively seeking to increase gas production through an increase in investment in gas fields," she said.
