{Local: Al Furat News} The Directorate of Residence Affairs in the Ministry of Interior announced the deportation of a huge number of foreign beggars in the country.
"We have deported 50,000 foreign beggars who entered the country illegally," said Brigadier General Louay Abdel-Kadhim, director of the deportation and expulsion department in the directorate, in a televised statement this evening, Sunday.
He blamed "the fake offices that are not registered in the Ministry of Labor responsible for the spread of the entry of beggars and foreign workers", pointing out that "345 cases were filed against fake companies and people who leaked these workers."
He added, "There are 50 registered companies that have the right to enter labor under official contracts, work approvals and the residence department."
Abdul-Kadhim pointed out, "Most of the foreign beggars enter by legal means, and sometimes during religious visits, but they reside illegally."
