Representative of the State of Law coalition, Baqir Kazem Al-Saadi, demanded, on Saturday, the execution of terrorists sentenced to death in Iraqi prisons, in response to the Al-Azeem attack in Diyala.
Al-Saadi said, in a statement received by the Information Agency, a copy of it, that "the increase in terrorist activity and the recurrence of crimes targeting our armed forces hold the government responsible for its security policies and plans, and the need to reconsider them, and the intelligence effort."
And he called for "mobilizing all the efforts, energies and capabilities that our security services possess and to carry out proactive operations to strike the dens of evil and the incubators of terrorism that target Iraq and threaten its security, stability and innocent lives."
He expressed his astonishment at the "absolute silence about the failure to demand the execution of thousands of terrorists languishing in prisons while enjoying the bounties of the country, amid dubious neglect of the file of inflicting just retribution on them for the brutal crimes they committed."
And 11 members of the army, including an officer, were martyred yesterday in an attack on the headquarters of a company near Al-Akli'ah in Hawi Al-Azeem, north of Diyala. finished/ 25
