Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hakim Al-Zamili confirmed, on Wednesday, that the House of Representatives may issue a law or resolution obligating the Commander-in-Chief to implement the alternative system in the military apparatus.
Al-Zamili said, in a videotape seen by / the information / that "the Presidency of the House of Representatives sent an official letter to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, including a demand to reinstate the alternative system in the ranks of the Iraqi army."
He added, "Parliament may move to issue a resolution or a parliamentary law that obliges the government to activate the alternative system for the army, the anti-terror agency and the federal police." Ended / 25 S
