    A number of members of the State of Law coalition put forward the name of the coalition’s leader, Nuri al-Maliki, to assume the position of the next prime minister, a move that could provoke the Sadrist movement, whose leader confirmed on more than one occasion his refusal to return the former prime minister, and even not to involve him in forming the next government, in exchange for allowing the rest The parties to the coordination framework did this, before the “leader of tenderness” ordered his deputies to resign from Parliament, after many months of political blockage.
    The coordinating framework held a periodic meeting. After its conclusion, it was stated in a statement that many developments in the political arena were reviewed, the latest developments and issues related to the procedures for forming the largest parliamentary bloc and the work of the committees formed recently by the framework related to the ongoing dialogues with political forces and the preparation of the government program, which meets the aspirations of Sons of the Iraqi people, specifying criteria and mechanisms for selecting the prime minister and ministers in proportion to the importance and sensitivity of the stage, and setting decisive times for this, without referring to the discussion of the names nominated to take over the prime ministership, which was confirmed by the spokesman for the Victory Coalition, Ayat Muzaffar, to the Rudaw Media Network.

    Ayat Muzaffar said regarding the position of the victory coalition on the nomination of Nuri al-Maliki for prime minister, that “in general, the nomination is an explicit constitutional right for every personality, but as an official nomination for Nuri al-Maliki, his name was not presented at the last framework meeting,” adding that “what was circulated in the last coordination framework meeting. It was regarding the Kurdish-Kurdish agreement and bringing the Kurdish views closer to resolving this crisis by choosing a president of the republic.
    A spokeswoman for the Victory Coalition noted that “the criteria for the prime minister’s personality were discussed and presented, a capable and competent figure who has the ability to achieve an economic renaissance, provide job opportunities, is non-controversial, and is reliable for internal political forces, especially for those outside the political authority. This is what was done. Discussing it frankly, a set of criteria,” noting that “these criteria will be dropped after the Eid holiday on the names and the selection will be made.”
    Regarding the victory coalition’s approval of al-Maliki’s name as a candidate for prime minister, al-Mudhaffar said that “for the victory coalition for every recent incident, if the criteria are applied to this character and acceptance is achieved with the internal and external levels, we will have a positive position,” referring to the victory coalition’s distance from any support (on least currently) to support Maliki's assumption of the next prime ministership.
    The head of the State of Law Coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, wrote in a tweet to him on Twitter, “The next government must be a government that sends a message that it is service to all Iraqis and is not exclusionary, marginalizing or exclusionary for any party that contributed to the political process and participated in the elections or did not participate, and whoever remained in it or He withdrew from it.”
