Earth News/ An expert in the field of oil and energy, Hamza Al-Jawahiri, confirmed today, Monday, that the Ministry of Electricity managed to increase the production of electric energy, but the high temperatures are what caused the collapse of the national system.
Al-Jawahiri said in an interview with Earth News, "The truth is that Iraq and Kuwait are almost the warmest regions of the globe, that is, above the boiling point. We have recorded 55 degrees, especially in the southern regions," noting that "it is very natural that in such circumstances the load becomes very high. On the system, the high load usually leads to the collapse of parts of the system, and therefore when these parts collapse, the entire system will collapse, and the system may collapse in several provinces and perhaps in all of Iraq.”
He added, "This is expected these days, and it is not the first time that it happened several times. In addition, the intense heat even led to the collapse of the thermal stations, for example, one of the thermal stations is already operating on steam, and its temperature is about 400 degrees Celsius due to water vapor, but with that The parts that are supposed to be electronic, nothing will happen to them, but nonetheless, these stations collapsed in the face of severe pressure on the system.”
Al-Jawahiri continued, "The truth is that this issue I sympathize with the Ministry of Electricity in it, because they really have significant and significant increases in the production capacity of electricity in Iraq, but unfortunately, the temperature rose above normal, even by five degrees, that is, we have today until we have a temperature of 50, before all of it was more than 50." This is not available in the whole world.”
And he indicated that "despite the trillions of money that were allocated for electricity, it was spent, and some of it was stolen.
These billions that were spent, these are the aspects of their exchange between corruption, operational, and development of the system, whether in production, transportation or distribution.
