[size=45]On Thursday, a number of Kurdistan Parliament members submitted a request to the public prosecution regarding the social networking application “Tik Tok”.[/size]
[size=45]Robak Ahmed, a member of the Culture Committee of the Kurdistan Parliament, said, "Members of the Kurdistan Parliament submitted a request to the public prosecutor in the region to restrict the application of Tik Tok."[/size]
[size=45]She added, "This application does not have any limits for publication, and this poses a danger to society, so we submitted this request to ban it or place restrictions on it."[/size]
[size=45]On Tuesday (7/12/2021), a source in the Iraqi Media and Communications Commission revealed the commission's intention to block the social networking application "Tik Tok" in Iraq.[/size]
[size=45]The source said, "The Board of Commissioners in the Media and Communications Authority held a meeting today to discuss the insidious repercussions of society and what is published in the (Tik Tok) application."[/size]
[size=45]And he indicated that the Board of Commissioners "intends to block the application (Tik Tok) in Iraq during the coming period for not taking into account public taste and the indecent videos published in it for the Iraqi society."[/size]
[size=45]It is noteworthy that many Iraqi families complain that their sons and daughters use the “Tik Tok” application because the highest percentage of the content published in this application is indecent and includes sexual clips and sensitive topics in Iraqi society.[/size]
