The General Authority of Customs announced, on Thursday, the start of implementing the industrial development exemptions program and the Investment Authority in the Southern Region Customs Directorate.
A statement by the authority, received by Mawazine News, stated that "with the direct guidance and follow-up of the Director General of the General Authority of Customs, Shaker Mahmoud Al-Zubaidi, the Director of Southern Customs received the Border Ports Authority's joint work team with the General Authority of Customs to start implementing the industrial development exemptions program and the Investment Authority." .
The statement added, "The Directorate has prepared all the necessary requirements for the success of the work of this program, facilitating procedures and organizing customs work," noting that "this matter reflects the directions of the General Authority of Customs to keep pace with the electronic automation system in all fields."
