Independent MP Haider Al-Shamkhi confirmed, on Thursday, that the independent parliament's boycott of the parliament session yesterday, Wednesday, comes to deliver a message of their refusal to repeat the same old approach to governance in Iraq, which "did not provide anything positive to the Iraqi people," according to his opinion.
Al-Shamkhi explained: "Independent deputies are demanding the formation of a strong independent government that will manage the transitional phase and amend some provisions of the constitution that have caused the political process many problems and led to its disruption."
Noting that "the government is also working to complete the procedures for providing an appropriate and safe environment for the holding of parliamentary elections, and after that everyone should respect the election results and not repeat the same obstruction scenario."
