    Yes Iraq: Baghdad

The government continues to talk about the continuation of projects to stop burning gas at a time when there is no time limit and a fixed and clear date for implementing this matter, while the Minister of Oil is reviewing projects that will stop about 84% of the gas that Iraq burns.

Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar said in statements that there has been a deficit in the state since the eighties of the last century in the investment of associated gas because it was heading for investments with a quick direct return, and gas investment projects that have a slow return, adding that the government in 2013 took a big step when it established the Basra Gas Company and started It invests gas from three important fields, namely Rumaila Al Zubair and West Qurna 1.
He talked about that the Basra Gas Company is currently working with up to 900 units, and adding 600 units will be its first goal, pointing out that in parallel, the Nasiriyah project has been referred with a capacity of 200 units, and the procedures for the Halfaya gas project have been expedited with a capacity of 300 units, with a completion rate of more than 50%. All real facilities in all the oil fields that were burning gas have been referred, whether in Majnoon or West Qurna 1, Faiha, Nasiriyah and others, and there is a delay in one of the fields and work is being done to address this.

Thus, the total amount of gas that will be stopped and invested will be approximately 1,100 maltaq, out of the 1400 maltaq that Iraq is currently burning, which means an investment of approximately 84% of the gas burned.
Iraq currently invests only 1,300 cubic meters per day, which means the possibility of increasing the gas invested to 2,400 cubic meters, which is less than what Iraq needs to operate its power stations, which amount to 3000 cubic meters per day.
By adding 1,100 filters, the percentage of gas that Iraq needs to import from Iran will be reduced by 64%.
