On Thursday, a parliamentary source reported that there is a political movement to put forward the name of the leader of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, for the position of Vice President of the Republic during today's session.
The source told "Mawazine News", that "there is a parliamentary and political movement to put forward the name of the leader of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, for the position of Vice President of the Republic, and to vote on it by Parliament during a session of granting confidence to the government of Muhammad Shia al-Sudani."
He added, "There is no final agreement to vote on al-Maliki during today's session." Ended 29/R77
