The Deputy Speaker of Parliament proposes to the federal government to prepare the budget in coordination with the region
Shafak News/ Shakhwan Abdullah, Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament announced, on Saturday, that he submitted a proposal to the federal government that includes cooperation and coordination with the Kurdistan Regional Government in preparing the country's general financial budget for the current year.
"We hope that what happened in previous years will not be repeated in the budget," Abdullah said in a statement to reporters from inside the parliament building, adding, "We made a proposal to the government that the draft budget law be prepared in cooperation with the Kurdistan Regional Government in order to reduce disputes over the budget within Parliament during the passage of its law.”
The federal government is ready and has set the negotiating committee and is awaiting the arrival of the Kurdistan Region delegation to resume the dialogues in order to resolve the differences and outstanding issues between Erbil and Baghdad.
