    Today, Sunday, the work of the "Seventh Arab Housing Conference" will be launched in the new Egyptian administrative capital, which will be held on the sidelines of the 39th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Construction under the title "Towards Smart Sustainable Cities that Achieve Quality of Life".
    Iraq will be represented in this conference, which will be held in St. Regis Hotel "Al-Dama" for two days, a delegation from the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Public Works
     A source in the League of Arab States said that the conference aims to provide opportunities to present the experiences, pioneering projects and best practices of the participating Arab countries to keep abreast of technological developments and mechanisms for planning smart and sustainable cities.
    The source added that the participants will present at the conference all that is new in the field of smart building technology, infrastructure, real estate development and information technology, as well as monitoring the role of governments in upgrading and improving the quality of life for people by highlighting the best experiences of smart and sustainable cities.
    The conference also aims to establish quality of life standards in light of making cities more sustainable, competitive, meeting the demand for adequate housing, and meeting the needs of current and future generations.
    The 39th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Construction discusses the adoption of the recommendations of the Seventh Arab Housing Conference and the selection of the slogan poster for Arab Housing Day for the year 2023, as well as cooperation with the United Nations Human Settlements Program and the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two sides, as well as the progress made in following up the implementation of the global 2030 sustainable development plan. And the executive plan for the Arab strategy for housing and urban development.
