Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Migration and Displacement announced the formation of a committee to deal with suicide cases inside the camps for the displaced.
The Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Jabro, said in a press statement that "a committee was formed to reduce suicide due to the emergence of more than one case inside the camps for the displaced," noting that "the ministry decided to form a committee headed by it and with the membership of most government institutions to develop an integrated study to reduce this phenomenon."
She pointed out that "the committee was initially limited to categories of displaced women and refugees, but it expanded to include all of Iraq with regard to the file of suicide, specifically women."
She emphasized that "there are great efforts by the Women's Empowerment Department to prepare a study on suicide cases through electronic extortion," explaining that "there is a membership of the Ministry of Interior to find out the statistics of suicide cases among women."
