[size=45]The Committee to Reduce Illegal Immigration held an expanded meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Immigration and Displacement in the center of the capital, Baghdad, headed by the Director General of the Department of Immigration Affairs, Dr. Safaa Hussein Ahmed, and in the presence of representatives of ministries, government agencies, and governorates, according to the decision of the Council of Ministers, to approve the comprehensive national plan to reduce illegal immigration.[/size]
[size=45]The Chairman of the Committee stated that the plan is of great importance in preserving human resources, while adhering to the plan’s axes and activities within a specific time frame, with all official authorities carrying out their duties towards the plan and under the supervision of the Ministry of Immigration and Displacement.[/size]
[size=45]The attendees came up with several decisions, including preparing awareness workshops for each ministry and its directorates according to a paper and video curriculum prepared by the Ministry of Immigration and Displacement and sent to all concerned parties, and preparing digital content that coincides with the awareness and education curriculum, as well as forming subcommittees within each ministry and institution and following up on the implementation of the plan.[/size]
