His Excellency the President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at his residence in Davos, the CEO of the Qatar Financial Center, Mr. Youssef Mohamed Al-Jaida.
The President of the Republic affirmed the government's seriousness in implementing its ministerial program, advancing development, starting the implementation of important strategic projects, and completing the Al-Faw port project, which includes many facilities such as highways, railways, and other facilities.
The President of the Republic touched on clarifying Iraq's future plans to improve the reality of agriculture and address water scarcity, indicating that all governorates seek to advance its reality, pointing out that Iraq has taken many measures to facilitate the movement of money, through a number of government decisions that allow the investment of foreign capital in Iraq. .
The President of the Republic praised the State of Qatar's organization of the World Cup recently, which gave a good impression to all countries of the world, and this is a great and real achievement for the Qatari brothers, and the same applies to Iraq and its success in organizing the 25th Gulf Cup in Basra.
The delegation conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Emir and his wishes for stability and security for the Iraqi people, while His Excellency the President entrusted the delegation with his greetings to His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and his wishes to the brothers in Qatar for further progress and prosperity.
The CEO of the Qatar Financial Center presented to His Excellency the President a proposal regarding the establishment of an Iraqi-Qatari business council with the participation of the private and government sectors, as the President of the Republic affirmed his support for this proposal, pointing to the need for communication between the two parties and studying proposals and ideas from all aspects.
