    The Ministry of Environment mentioned the importance of international support to fund the teams of organizations and survey and removal work in the liberated governorates.
    Where the Minister of Environment, Eng. Nizar Amidi, confirmed this, during his meeting with Pierre Ludhammer, Director of the United Nations Mine Action Department UNMAS, in the presence of the Administrative Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment, Dr. Kamiran Ali Hassan, who is assigned the duties of the Director General of the Department of Mine Affairs, Bakr Sahib. A brief was also presented on the national priorities that need international support from the organization, and the importance of continuing to support the funding of the organizations’ teams and survey and removal work in the liberated governorates and the middle and southern Euphrates.
    During the meeting, the Minister of Environment indicated the importance of training the Iraqi cadres of the employees of the Department of Mine Affairs and the General Corporation for Mine Action in the Kurdistan Region, companies and national organizations by the international experts of the organization.
