On Monday, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, announced that the elderly, who do not receive a salary, will be included in social assistance.

The ministry said in a statement, which "NAS" received a copy of, (February 6, 2023), "The Minister of Labor, Ahmed Al-Asadi, decided to include all elderly people with the social protection salary who do not receive salaries from the state," noting that he "instructed the Social Protection Authority to complete Procedures and filling out a field research form for them.
He added, "This came after his visit to the nursing home in Al-Sulaikh, coinciding with the birth of Imam Ali, who was a role model in sponsoring orphans and caring for the elderly."
And the Minister of Labor listened to their demands, directing "the departments concerned with providing their needs and working to create an environment and a decent life for this segment, which has provided a lot to society."
