Earth News / The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, directed today, Sunday, to set up a new mechanism for the work of licensed and new companies in Iraq, as well as licensing work for each company. This came during his chairmanship of a meeting of the Opinion Commission, which included the agents and general managers of the ministry, its departments and bodies, on Sunday 26-2 -2023.
The minister stressed, according to a statement received by Earth News, that he “resolved all issues related to the ministry’s work during the past four months, especially with regard to evaluating the work of agents and general managers, each according to his department, to determine the sites of failure and success, pointing out that there is a great task in fighting corruption in large companies, which is The duty of general managers is to evaluate the departments every 15 days and submit a periodic report to indicate the defect.
Al-Asadi explained, "The ministry's task is difficult and not easy, as it is a humanitarian ministry concerned with caring for a large class of the poor."
And he indicated that "the ministry will work to cooperate with major companies to automate the ministry, as it will be the first ministries to work on automation in its departments and agencies."
During the meeting, "the topics on the agenda were discussed, including the government program and the discussion of amending paragraphs in the Social Protection Law pertaining to orphans, as well as discussing issues related to the departments of labor and vocational training, retirement and social security."
