Today, Friday, the Ministry of Commerce denied the presence of materials in its warehouses that are not fit for consumption, and while clarifying the mechanism for examining contracted materials, it reassured citizens that there is no shortage of materials and the availability of sufficient quantities, pointing to its endeavor to increase marketing centers and outlets for the local market.
"The Ministry of Commerce distributes food basket materials in thousands of tons, and these materials are subject to laboratory examination mechanisms through local and national laboratories, in which advanced equipment is available and holds international certificates ISO," said the spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, Muhammad Hanoun, to the official agency, followed by Mawazine News.
He added, "What is said about foodstuffs, whether they are valid or not valid for consumption, is talk that lacks credibility. The doors of our laboratories are open everywhere and everyone can see them, and they are also subject to quality control checks according to practical mechanisms."
He continued, "As for the processing operations, the Ministry continues to distribute on a large scale, and a large percentage of the fourth meal was delivered, and the first three meals were delivered at a rate of 100%, and we assure the Iraqis that the basket materials are available in all provincial stores and are of good quality, and that any citizen of our people can notice the validity of the materials."
