{Economic: Al-Furat News} An informed source revealed the results of the preliminary investigations of the investigations regarding the withdrawal of the hand of the General Manager of the Rafidain Bank, along with some of the department managers and employees in the bank.
The source told {Euphrates News} agency, that: “The investigations proved the involvement of the current administration, which was withdrawn, and the director of the office of the general manager of the bank, along with some department managers, namely the risk management, electronic cards department, resources, calculator, and other departments, along with other employees, in the two cases of selling dollars and gold bullion.” .
He pointed to the "involvement of the Director of the Office of the Director General of the Rafidain Bank issues and direct guidance by him."
The source confirmed, "There are cases of corruption and waste of public money, mismanagement, bribery, tracking of transactions, and exploitation of the position to achieve personal and partisan ends, and other issues that have been revealed in the work of the current administration.
The Ministry of Finance decided to withdraw the hand of the director of the Rafidain Bank and 20 department managers and employees for sixty days due to corruption in selling dollars at Baghdad International Airport.
The Ministry of Finance assigned the head of the National Retirement Authority, Maher Hussein, to run the affairs of the bank.
