Trade: Care families receive 10 items in the food basket

The Ministry of Commerce said that families covered by social care receive 10 items from the food basket, while it revealed that the data of electronic ration cards has been updated for 7,200,000 covered persons.
The Director of the General Company for Foodstuff Trade in the Ministry, Lama Hashim Al-Moussawi, told Al-Sabah: The number of those covered by the social welfare system registered within the catering program increased from five million and 200 thousand to seven million and 200 thousand, as two million beneficiaries were added, and the covered families receive 10 items in the food basket
.
And she indicated that the update of the electronic ration card has now been launched next to Al-Karkh, as this process will continue for a period of three months at the Baghdad International Fair site, and in two halls, one of which is for the Al-Mutanabi Supply Center and includes 50 employees, and the other is similar to it for the Sayyid Al-Shuhada Center, and they were equipped with all technical and administrative requirements, and the time starts from eight in the morning until eight in the evening
.
Al-Moussawi added that 83 employees are participating in the campaign to update employee data, and there are employees from the headquarters of the High Electoral Commission.
She pointed out that the data of 18,000 families so far who are registered within the catering system on the Karkh side have been updated, depending on the unified national card after receiving it from the food agent, with the exception of those who did not review due to travel, death, and fictitious and repeated names, and the update process is still continuing to receive those included.
And she called on Al-Moussawi to review all families for the purpose of updating their data at the Baghdad International Fair, whether those who were denied the ration card or who
continued to receive it.
