The Ministry of Commerce called on citizens to visit food agents to receive food basket items and flour.
The Director General of the Department of Planning and Follow-up in the Ministry, Ibtihal Hashem Sabet, said in a statement by the Ministry that she “directed the administrations of the supply branches in Baghdad and the governorates to organize field visits to the agents’ stores to follow up on providing citizens with food basket items and flour.”
She confirmed that “directions were also given to form field teams to note violations and tampering with processing operations, and to receive citizens’ complaints in this regard.” Sabet stressed, "These teams will conduct an evaluation of the work performance of the agents who adhere to the instructions and controls issued by the Ministry and submit a position to the department in their names for the purpose of valuing their efforts and honoring them in order to give more on their part to serve the citizens." She urged, "Citizens to visit the food and flour agents to receive the food basket items and flour as soon as the agents prepare them by the food and grain manufacturing companies."
