The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has initiated procedures for removing those who are able to work from those covered by the salaries and subsidies of the protection network, and introducing them to training programs with the aim of granting them loans to establish their own projects.
The Director of the Labor and Vocational Training Department in the Ministry, Abbas Fadel Abbas, told Al-Sabah that his ministry has completed all its preparations to receive and train those of working age and those who are able to do so, and to provide consultations and study the projects submitted and follow them up through the business incubators program, with the aim of making the project a success among the beneficiaries of the subsidy network.
And he indicated that a large number of people with disabilities and needs who are able to work will be included in training programs and put them into the labor market after granting them loans, which will start as soon as its instructions are published in the Official Gazette, announcing the ministry’s intention to grant loans to about 20,000 projects during 2023, at a value of 20 to 50 million dinars.
