Today, Wednesday, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Adel Rikabi, revealed that 65 billion dinars have been returned to the social protection network, excluding 26,000 beneficiaries.
In an exclusive interview with the National News Center, Rikabi said, "The beneficiaries now from the social protection network are not only of the age of this government, but they have been accepted at various intervals through successive governments."
He added, "I am convinced, as a minister, of those who receive protection network benefits. I am certain and certain that not a few of them are not worthy, but there are people who are more deserving of them," pointing out that "the ministry is now working to exclude some of those who receive."
He stressed, "The ministry cannot deport a large number, due to the current crises, but it is working on a gradual deportation of those who do not deserve, according to social research reports and the annual statement of each beneficiary."
The minister revealed that "nearly 26 thousand beneficiaries have been excluded since the government took over, including employees and retirees who receive protection benefits, and more than 65 billion dinars have been returned to the social protection network."
