The Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed that there are only four banks approved for dollar transfers
A member of the committee, Mueen Al-Kadhimi, said in a press interview seen by “Takadam” that: “The goal of the recent security operation came to control the black market and dollar speculators.”
He called on the Central Bank to “facilitate the measures taken, especially in the matter of assignment.”
Al-Kazemi added, "Today we have only four banks approved to issue dollar transfers, and there are approximately 59 banks so far that the Central Bank has not put pressure on them to rehabilitate themselves."
Yesterday, Tuesday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani announced the arrest of a network of major dollar speculators linked to speculators in the Kurdistan region by the National Security Agency in cooperation with the regional government.
