    Baghdad / Obelisk Al-Hadath: The Kurdistan region informed a United Nations official of the need to resolve problems with Baghdad, including the budget.
    And the office of the head of the representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government in Baghdad, Fares Issa, stated in a statement received by Al-Masalla,
    This took place during a meeting with the head of the representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government in Baghdad, Fares Issa, with the Director of Political Affairs at the United Nations Mission in Iraq, Manoj Mathew, where they reviewed the current political and security situation in the Kurdistan region, Iraq and the region, and the challenges facing the political process.
    The two parties discussed the outstanding problems between Erbil and Baghdad, especially the issue of implementing the general budget law, with the two sides emphasizing the need to solve and resolve all problems in accordance with the law and the constitution.
    The current economic conditions in Iraq and the Kurdistan region were also discussed, as well as environmental change and the water crisis in Iraq and the region, in addition to discussing the provincial elections file to be held at the end of this year and its future impacts.
    The head of the representative of the regional government in Baghdad affirmed the readiness of the regional government to conduct it at the specified time, announcing that the government in Erbil has prepared the necessary ground for conducting it and preparing the requirements for its success.
